I originally called this one "Paradise," then John Prine and/or his followers changed the name of "Muhlenberg County," forcing me to move over and rename this. But the rhythm of the end of the first line distinctly says "paradise," and I can find no other word which is inflected quite the same. Also it's the word that was in my head when I wrote the tune, so "Ticket to Paradise" it shall be. I've received a number of favorable comments on this one. |
