High Bridge -
The Conrad Lundy Jr. Bridge shown here crosses the Wind River about 3 miles from its confluence with the mighty Columbia.
The bridge was constructed when I was in high school and Conrad Lundy was a county commisioner. I knew him for mnay years.
He had dump trucks and hauled gravel when he was young. He liked
old cars; le had an old V-12 Lincoln for a while in the last few years
of his life.
The 598 ft. long deck of this bridge is 260 feet above the river below,
so it's hard to get a picture that shows how high this bridge is.
