-- April Day --
A rewritten bossa nova (mine, see "Bossa the Woods,") which accordingly has a bossa nova-like chord progression behind a |
distinctly minor modal melody with some unusual rules about the steps, but with the tempo recast as a "straight four" divided |
subtly into fast triplets, almost a 6/8 "jig" feel with a bouncy emphasis about it, this tune is probably also "Swing," if we must classify. |
Key: E minor Time signature: 4/4 Tempo: 160 Length: 160 measures Time: 4 minutes, 1 second |
Instruments: Flute, Viola, Chorused Piano, and a layered bass sound made from too-low banjo and too-low wooden whistle. |
It would take a specially constructed Baritone Banjo and people blowing across the tops of bottles to make this sound. |
